My building is on the Virginia side. Can you inspect it?
Yes. We hold inspection licensure in Virginia as well as Tennessee, which in Bristol is the whole ballgame — it means you don’t have to find a second company because your property sits on the other side of the street.
Does it matter which side the property is on for permitting?
It can, since you’re dealing with different state regulations and different local offices depending on which side of the line you’re on. Confirm with your permitting office before a demolition project. The inspection itself is the same work either way — what changes is whose rules the documentation answers to, and we’re licensed for both.
Do you remove asbestos if you find it?
No. BAT Services is an inspection and testing company only. That’s deliberate — a company that profits from removal has an incentive to find asbestos. If your property tests positive we’ll connect you with licensed abatement contractors we work with and help you judge whether a proposed scope matches what we actually found.
